Yamaha C Spinet Piano (1964)

Yamaha C – Compact Japanese quality piano with character

this special Yamaha C from 1964 belongs to a relatively rare category within the Yamaha range: the so-called spinet pianoYamaha built only a limited number of such compact models, which is why they are rarely offered today.

With a height of only 106,5 cm This piano combines a modest size with the solid build quality for which Yamaha is known worldwide. Furthermore, the warm wood color, graceful Queen Anne-style legs, and beautiful music desk give this piano an elegant, classic appearance that fits perfectly into both traditional and modern interiors.

This Yamaha bears serial number 274677 and was built in 1964 inJapan.

Compact size, surprisingly mature sound

Spinet pianos are often chosen for their limited depth, but Yamaha managed to achieve a remarkably mature sound even with these compact models.

Thanks to the high-quality Japanese construction, this piano offers:

✔️ Warm, round timbre
✔️ Clear Yamaha treble
✔️ Light and pleasant touch
✔️ Good control for study and recreational use
✔️ Compact size for smaller living spaces

For pianists looking for a real Yamaha but having limited space, this model presents a particularly interesting option.

A rare Yamaha model

Although Yamaha is primarily known today for models such as the U1, U3, and the C and CX grand piano series, the brand also built various compact home models in the 1960s. Yamaha spinet pianos were produced in significantly smaller numbers than the well-known professional models, making them relatively rare today.

This Yamaha C therefore represents an interesting piece of Yamaha history.
