Kawai: Innovation and Craftsmanship in Perfect Harmony

A Rich History of Passion for Music

The Kawai story begins in 1927 in the heart of Japan, when Koichi Kawai decided to follow his dreams. A talented craftsman and apprentice to the legendary Torakusu Yamaha, he focused his vision on creating pianos that combined playfulness and precision. Today, the brand is globally acclaimed for its dedication to quality and innovation, without ever losing sight of its artisanal roots.

Kawai Pianos: Traditional Materials, Modern Technology

What makes a Kawai piano unique is the balance between traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. Think Millennium III key action, which uses ABS carbon: stronger and lighter than wood. This ensures a responsive and durable instrument. From compact digital pianos like the Kawai ES series to majestic grand pianos like the EX concert grand, each model is designed to inspire you and help you reach new musical heights.

For Professionals and Beginners

From concert pianists to beginners, Kawai offers something for everyone. World-renowned artists like Hiromi Uehara and Steve Weingart have chosen Kawai grand pianos for their rich tone and impressive dynamic range. Beginners especially appreciate the simplicity and affordability of the CN Series and CA Series digital pianos. If you’re looking for a reliable instrument that will grow with you, a Kawai piano is an ideal choice.

Refurbished Kawai at BOL Pianos

Our refurbished Kawai pianos & grand pianos are like new instruments. Both the inside and outside have been overhauled.
The casing has been sprayed with high-gloss polyester lacquer, the key top has been replaced, the soundboard has new lacquer, and even the inside is in new condition. This is one of the reasons why we are giving these instruments a 10-year guarantee.
The strings and hammer heads have been repaired or replaced if necessary. We also replace all the felt work and the seals in the mechanism as standard. All brass parts have been polished and look like new again. All pianos are equipped with a study pedal and slow-fall on the key cover.
